How Does Being an AMP Member Benefit YOU?

Learn why an AMP membership can benefit practicing physicians and students/trainees

Practicing Physicians

Job Board

The job board of the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry is a great resource for those looking for employment opportunities in the healthcare field.

Medical-Psychiatry Unit Consortium

The MPU consortium brings together clinicians, educators and scholars working on Medical Psychiatry Units to exchange experiences and collaborate to improve outcomes for patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.

Global Health

AMP is committed to advancing the integration of medicine and psychiatry in global health settings. In addition to the regular webinar series, we help build connections among AMP members working across the globe.

AMP seeks to advance science and scholarship at the intersection of medicine and psychiatry. Not only do we highlight member research, but we sponsor review and summary articles on the current trends in med-psych practice.

Train the Trainers (TNT) Fellowships

As an organization, AMP is a proud partner of TNT as a fellow non-profit, academically oriented organization dedicated to bridging the gap between medical and behavioral health care.

Students and Residents

Residency Programs

With new programs added every year, combined medicine-psychiatry residencies uniquely prepare physicians to care for those with complex physical and mental health needs. Learn about these training programs as well as current AMP resident members here.

Mentorship Programs

Join your AMP RFMs for quarterly zoom mentoring sessions as they cover topics such as: “Preparing for the application process” including what to expect from away rotations, prepping your MS3/MS4 schedule, extracurricular activities and research that look good on an application.

Student FAQs

AMP Leadership

The Association is an interdisciplinary clinical and scientific group which promotes high quality patient care for those with combined illness, develops guidelines for service and training experiences specifically designed to address the problems of these patients, and fosters basic and clinical research in this area.
