I was born and raised in Cameroon where I lived for 18 years. As such, I was exposed first-hand to the medical and mental health needs in a developing country. When I moved to the US, I encountered many challenges, including learning English, acclimating to the culture, and dealing with homelessness. I went on to attend Cañada College and transferred to UC Davis where I obtained my bachelor in biochemistry and molecular biology. I then attended UC Davis medical school where I also participated in the Rural PRIME program, one of the underserved leadership tracks.

Global health work has been one of my areas of interest ever since I moved to the United States. Throughout undergrad, medical school, and residency, I've always sought global health experiences and opportunities. I've been involved with AMP global heath since my intern year and became the co-chair with Dr. Annamalai for the past year. I look forward to continue to highlight the importance of global health work both at home and abroad through organizing our webinars, AMP GH presentations, educational resources on the AMP website, and finding novel ways to reach out to the wider AMP community.
