• Become familiar with the structural and social determinants of diet and how behavioral economics concepts can help identify common pitfalls and possible solutions for dietary change.
• Review community resources and interdisciplinary team structures that can be used to improve patient nutrition.

Lynette Staplefoote-Boynton:
Dr. Lynette Staplefoote-Boynton, MD, MPH, is an IM-Psych PGY 5 and chief resident at Duke Health. She has always been drawn to using holistic approaches to empower vulnerable individuals and populations. During her PGY4 year, she served as a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/American Psychiatric Association Foundation Minority Health Fellow. Her fellowship capstone project focused on developing practical social and structural determinants of health curricula for primary care and psychiatry graduate medical trainees. She is excited to share a sample of this work during the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry Webinar series.
